Adidas presented the shirt that Argentina will wear during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The style of the shirt is a mixture between the one´s used by Los Albicelestes for the ´78 and ´86 World Cups. Argentina´s World Cup shirt was unveiled on Thursday. Adidas presented the shirt that Diego Maradona´s side will wear in South Africa next year.
With fans, music and guests, the ceremony started with the Argentine national anthem, while images of Argentina´s most memorable m0ments were on display.
The design of the shirt is very similar to that worn during the two World Cups Argentina won, in ´78 and ´86. Adidas decided to take the black out of the shirt, making it completely white, light blue, and with the traditional gold badge.
Two versions of the shirt will be available to the players, giving them the opportunity to choose whether they want to wear a skin tight shirt or a looser one.
¨The shirt of the national team is always very nice, hopefully we can use it many times,¨ said Juan Sebastian Veron, while posing with the shirt with AFA president Julio Grondona.
Argentina are expected to wear the shirt for the first time against Spain on Nov.14.
