Alvaro Recoba is slated to join Penarol in the transfers

Alvaro Recoba, a former Inter Milan hero who recently admitted that joining Penarol would be a dream come true, is most likely to bolster the Uruguayan powerhouses in 2019. Recoba thinks that joining Penarol might increase his chances of being selected for the Uruguay team to play in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Recoba told Ultimas Noticias, “I want to go to Penarol to assist them become champions and also to battle for a spot in the World Cup.”

Moving to Penarol is a contentious decision given that Recoba first achieved renown with Penarol’s crosstown rivals Nacional before joining Inter Milan in 1997.

The player’s father, Raul Recoba, dislikes the notion of his son relocating to Penarol since, in his opinion, it would be extremely immoral.

Life requires gratitude, and Nacional always treated us kindly, the man remarked.

“Even though they knew I was a supporter of Penarol, they treated us well as we left. The way they treated us there made me a fan of my friends. I shall thus continue to do what I have been doing for Nacional.

Recoba’s decision to move to Penarol would be extremely hazardous because he would probably face harsh criticism from the community’s press as well as from Nacional supporters.
